The triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem had been predicted and described in the prophets. All four gospels give an account of this event, with Matthew stating that prophecy is being carried out and John comments that the disciples didn't know the significance of the event until after Jesus had been glorified. The author of all history is also the author of our faith, and the one that will bring all things to fruition.
